Missions/Outreach
The purpose of the Missions Committee shall be
to assist the church in continuing the ministry
of Jesus Christ in meeting human need, such needs
as he named in Matthew 24: food, drink, shelter,
clothing, comfort and support in illness or imprisonment,
remembering that Jesus said, In as much
as you have done it unto one of the least of these……you
have done it unto me (Matthew 25:40)
Project Currently: “Christmas
in June/July”
• Collection of nonperishable foods to
include bulk items, in providing assistance to
charitable organizations during the time when
the need is greatest and the giving is significantly
diminished.
Projects Completed (2007)
• Perry Pavilion Program at Sand Lake
Hospital (families displaced and experiencing
crisis situations)
• The Mission Tree) venue to provide a visible means to the congregation
of existing needs within the community during the holidays. 1st and 2nd roll-outs… Easter
and Christmas respectively.
